Control states are managed by tasks
For a recommended control to become a planned control, once the risk committee has approved the
expenditure, at least one task has to be assigned to it. Normally there are several tasks that need to
be performed for the “planned” control to be moved to “existing” and each task has to be completed
before this can happen. Essentially the whole system is dependent upon tasks being completed and
being completed on time.
