Risk Exposure and Appetite

For each risk there is a Risk Valuation. This is a measure of the financial hurt a company can expect
should the adverse outcome occur. Given that there are usually some controls in place, the first chart
shows you how much of the financial hurt is covered by the controls. This is the situation as at today.
The “planned”controls are in strict hierarchical time order and the second chart shows you the addi-
tional comfort added by reducing the company’s financial hurt when these are in place.
